Monday, November 7th, we will be gathering at 7:30 PM to celebrate the past
year and look forward to the year to come.
Our new District Superintendent, Rev. Bob Parks, will be leading us
as we look at how God has been at work here. Rev. Parks has asked us to bring pictures
of our ministry over the last year in addition to our reports. Please let Pastor Andrew know if you will
be bringing a picture! (Please remember
that all reports need to be returned to Pastor Andrew by next Sunday, October
30th, at the latest!) Take a Can, Leave a Can Williams
UMC has begun an informal food pantry in the Sunday School
room. Please bring canned items as
you have the ability and feel free to take items as you have the need! Outreach
Opportunities! · Are you willing to commit one hour a week to
helping a student at Kenbridge
Elementary tackle basic math? You do
not need to be a math wiz or a trained teacher, you simply need to be available and willing to
give the one-on-one time that many children need to thrive. Talk to Pastor Andrew for more
information. · The second offering today is going to help provide
holiday turkeys to families in our community that would not otherwise have
a holiday meal. Please give as the
Lord leads you to help provide. · As we move into the Christmas season, we will be
involved in collecting and sorting food for Salvation Army food boxes as
well as purchasing and wrapping gifts for the Angel Tree. More information will be coming
