Victoria Presbyterian Church. The focus
for this week will be: “The Son who Saves Us.” Bring
a sack lunch and come ready to look with fresh eyes at the salvation
offered through Christ. Pennies from Heaven We are joining with
churches from around the county during Lent to support the work of Lunenburg
County Ministries. Pennies from Heaven invites us to place a container on
our dinner table and give 2 cents every meal as a reminder to be thankful
for what we have and to remember those who go hungry. We will gather our pennies together on
Easter Sunday. Please join us as we
remember those in need! Lay Speakers Are
you interested in becoming certified as a Lay Speaker? There are two opportunities this
spring! Our District Lay
Speaking/Servant School will be held on Saturday, March 31st, from 9am to
5pm, and Sunday, April 1, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at Mt. Laurel UMC in
Clover, VA. Lunenburg County Ministries Car Wash Lunenburg
County Ministries will be holding a car wash at the Tasty Freeze in
Kenbridge next Saturday, March 31st, from 9:30 to 2:30. Talk to Pastor Andrew for more
information or to volunteer! Outreach Opportunities! Special
thanks to everyone who gave to our special collection last week to support
the feeding program for the seniors among the people of Edisto. We raised $417! That’s enough to pay for more than 170
meals! ($2.40 per meal). If you would like to give and were unable
to give last week, talk to Joy Daigle Book.
