be meeting this Wednesday at 12:00 PM at the Lunenburg Senior Citizens’
Center. The focus for this week will be Pilate’s
Courtroom: The Choice that Confronts Us. Bring a sack lunch and come ready to
wrestle with the choices that confront you! Pennies from Heaven We are joining with
churches from around the county during Lent to support the work of Lunenburg
County Ministries. Pennies from Heaven invites us to place a container on
our dinner table and give 2 cents every meal as a reminder to be thankful
for what we have and to remember those who go hungry. We will gather our pennies together on
Easter Sunday. Please join us as we
remember those in need! Lay Speakers Are
you interested in becoming certified as a Lay Speaker? There are two opportunities this
spring! Our District Lay
Speaking/Servant School will be held on Saturday, March 31st, from 9am to
5pm, and Sunday, April 1, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at Mt. Laurel UMC in Clover,
VA. Outreach Opportunities! Many thanks to those who contributed to the
offering on February 12th for
STEPS. We collected $354.50! We
are looking forward to welcoming the Farmville District Outreach
Coordinator Martha Reed on March 18th to share with us about our district’s
ministry with the Edisto Indians in South Carolina. Join us as we gather to hear about what
God is up to and seek to figure out how we can join in!
