Lenten Lunches... ...will
be meeting this Wednesday at 12:00 PM at Kenbridge United Methodist Church. The focus
for this week will be Gethsemane: The Prayer that Prepares Us. Bring a sack lunch and come ready to grow
in your life of prayer! Pennies from Heaven We will be joining with
churches from around the county during Lent to support the work of Lunenburg
County Ministries. Pennies from Heaven invites us to place a container on
our dinner table and give 2 cents every meal as a reminder to be thankful
for what we have and to remember those who go hungry. We will gather our pennies together on
Easter Sunday. Please join us as we
remember those in need! Lay Pastors Meeting Lay Pastors,
please plan to join Pastor Andrew today at 12:15 PM at Antioch as we gather
to share the joys and challenges of our first months of Lay ministry. We will be taking some time to share,
learn, and celebrate together! (Refreshments will be provided.) Lay Speakers Are
you interested in becoming certified as a Lay Speaker? There are two opportunities this
spring! Our District Lay
Speaking/Servant School will be held on Saturday, March 31st, from 9am to
5pm, and Sunday, April 1, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at Mt. Laurel UMC in
Clover, VA. The Virginia Conference
will be offering Lay Speaker training at the Lay Servants Academy to be
held at the Blackstone Conference and Retreat Center on February 24-26. Outreach Opportunities! Many thanks to those who contributed to the
