Is God Calling you to Minister to Others?

As part of our Labor of Love initiative, we will be beginning a Lay Ministers program which will be pairing up a trained lay minister from within the congregation with individuals or families in the church or community who would like to have someone to talk and pray with them on a regular basis.  We will be training Lay       Ministers on the afternoon of Sunday, January 23rd from 1:00-5:00 PM, so please consider if God is calling you to be a part of our Lay Ministers team.  If you are considering it, please talk with   Pastor Andrew, and he will give you more information!

Our New Director of Outreach!

Joy Daigle Book is stepping into the role of Director of Outreach for the Lunenburg Charge!  We are very excited to have someone overseeing and coordinating our outreach efforts and helping us to move forward in 2011 to live out our labor of love and share the love of Christ with the community around us.  Please talk with Joy if you have any questions about our outreach ministries!

The Business of 2011

Join other church leaders from around the Farmville District at the United Methodist Assembly Center in Blackstone today from 2:30 PM-5:30 PM.  The sessions will focus on a large array of topics including missions for smaller congregations, how to share your faith story, living out a conspiracy of kindness, hospitality and more.  See the district newsletter “Staying in Touch” on the bulletin board or talk with Pastor Andrew for more information.
